Get Ready
for Vårlys 2025!
Practical info
When you participate in a so-called burn like Vårlys at Torpa, one very important thing to be aware of is that this is not a festival. There is no hired entertainment, no selling of food or drinks, and you have to bring along all the things you need to sleep, eat, hydrate and to keep yourself clean and comfy. Think of it like you’re going into the wilderness, camping in a tent for 5 days.
How would you prepare?
There will be a designated camping area, close to the parking/road. There are hammock-friendly trees. There will be toilet facilities. There will be designated areas for barbeques. You won’t have access to a fridge or a freezer, unless you bring one yourself.
Check out the Survival Guide for detailed information and advice on how to prepare.
The location
Torpa offers the perfect setting for us to come together, co-create, and celebrate in true Vårlys spirit. This fairytale farm has a huge grazing land, scattered with birch groves and trees. The farmland is fenced in and bordered by rivers and streams in the east, west, and south. There are multiple log houses in a cluster, almost like a tiny village, and some of these log houses can be used for theme camps and projects.
Photos and videos of the land will be published soon.
